SnapLok Silicone Blocking-out Putty
has been specially developed for use in dentistry as a retaining medium to hold
impressions in position as well as for blocking-out areas to exclude plaster and die
stone.
Unlike other 'dental' putties, SnapLock
BlokOut, has been specifically manufactured without a memory - ie when a piece of the
putty is pressed into a particular shape it stays in that shape without rebounding. |

| Why the need to block-out impressions? |
| When pouring lower models - in any
model system - invariably excess stone is allowed to sit in the tongue space and, when
set, can cause a major trimming problem. The application of a small amount of BlokOut
Putty on top of the SnapLok white tongue, in the tongue space of the impression,
will not only reduce the ultimate model trimming time but will be of considerable help in
producing neat looking models. |
